Last September, we asked you all to join us in prayer over one of our ICS Student’s who suffered from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Today, Alexander’s family and ICS are very happy to share an update on his situation:
“As a parent watching our child suffer was not easy. Usually we could remedy any ailment with a quick doctor's visit and prescription. Learning Alexander would be fighting Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia was not anything we imagined for him. We were not prepared to surrender our child to God and have to put faith into his medical team. We felt incredibly helpless but with our ICS family, we felt a strong presence of God as we all walked hand in hand for Alexander. Together we gathered in collective prayer and lifted him to our Lord. We felt there was a blanket of protection over Alexander, the armour of God, the strength we needed came from your love and support. For 2.5 years we had to watch our son have wonderful days, that we cherished, and horrific days, that we feared. Thank you for you prayers, understanding, love, and unconditional support. We wanted to share this moment with you because it is a victory for all of us. The ability to believe, to surrender in fear. The power of community. The power of love and prayer. Thank you for loving our son.
By the grace of God, he did it!!!!
Alexander beat cancer!!! 🎗❤️💪”

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
