The ICS Class of 2023 graduated on the afternoon of Saturday, May 20th.
Junior Danytza Canales opened the day’s ceremony with the singing of the National Anthem. Second year teacher, Luis Martinez, gave the Class of 2023’s Senior Salute. Secondary Principal Rachel Frecka and Head of School John Davis introduced our Salutatorian and Valedictorian respectively. This graduating class’s Salutatorian was Sofia Gomez Valedictorian was Mia Dominguez.
Every year, ICS has been fortunate enough to bless our Senior class with several scholarships. Danny Rico presented the Peggy Mancil Scholarship on behalf of Immanuel Church to Sofia Gomez, Hannah Ayala, Iggy Agundis, Itzayana Gonzalez, and Brianna Daly. Mr. Davis and Mrs. Frecka recognized and presented our Distinguished Warriors with scholarships. This year’s Distinguished Warriors were Hannah Campos, Sofia Gomez, Mia Dominguez, and Vincent Puga. The recipients of our Partners in Education Scholarships were Hannah Ayala, Sofia Gomez, Juliana Hernandez, Richeda Adansi, Hannah Campos, Belicia Kelly, and Mia Dominguez. In honor of our student’s community service our parent volunteer association, SALT, presented Brianna Daly, Itzayana Gonzalez, Hannah Ayala, and Joseph Parr with scholarships. Assistant Athletic Director Aaron Petersen presented two scholarships, courtesy of the ICS Booster Club, to Richeda Adansi and Diego Villasana.
Olivia and Danny Rico went on to perform a rendition of Billy Ray Cyrus’s “Ready, Set, Don’t Go” before diplomas were presented.
Head of School John Davis closed the ceremony and presented the Class of 2023, as the graduates threw their caps into the air.
